"For us, it's all about meaning attached to a tattoo, that feeling you get when you wear it"

FROM THE INKBOX TEAM

Inkbox began with two twenty-somethings conducting experiments in their tiny apartment.

Quite a bit has changed since those days of kitchen R&D, but the most rewarding part of the adventure has been forming a community that trusts Inkbox through their self-expression journey.

We are constantly working on new ways, new innovations, to empower the ever-changing story of you.

“Cover your body without any commitment.” “Tattoos from the comfort of your own home and with no needles or pain required.” “A good way to get a sense for whether or not really you want to get a permanent piece." “Temporary tattoos are more popular (and more realistic) than ever.” “A far cry from the cheesy temporary tattoos we used to buy out of gumball machines.”

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Inkbox Inc is committed to creating inclusive and equitable spaces for all, whilst empowering the voices of our employees and our surrounding communities.

Inkbox Inc wishes to acknowledge the land on which it operates. The purpose of this Land Acknowledgement is to provide an official statement recognizing the long-standing painful history of Colonization between Indigenous peoples and their traditional land.

It is fundamental that Inkbox acknowledges we operate on the native land of the Mississaugas of the Credit, Anishnabeg, Chippewa, Haudenosaunee and Wendat peoples.

‘Toronto’ originates from the Mohawk name ‘Tkaronto’ which means ‘the place in the water where the trees are standing’.

We wish to express our gratitude to the Indigenous peoples of this territory and across Turtle Island, as well as acknowledge our privilege in working on sacred land.

We recognize a Land Acknowledgement is just one small way to show our solidarity and stand out against the systemic oppression, obstruction of freedom, and atrocities Indigenous people have endured at the hands of Colonizers for generations. The work towards reconciliation, however, is never over.

We also wish to acknowledge and recognize all Treaty peoples - including those individuals who were brought to this land against their will, specifically, forcibly displaced people of African origin and descent, as a consequence of the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade and Slavery. We wish to honor and pay homage to those ancestors of African lineage and origin.
